Two Marines Moving — Corporate History

Over the years, Two Marines Moving has received feedback from thousands of clients. Some reviews were written. Some were emailed. Some were posted online.

In 2011, we took a different approach.

We invited real clients to sit down and share their experiences on camera.

There was no script. No coaching. No rehearsed answers.

Just real people describing what moving was like before they hired Two Marines Moving — and what happened after.

We have chosen to preserve these interviews because they capture something important:

Not what we say about ourselves. What our clients said about us.

Before the Move: Stress, Frustration, and Uncertainty

One theme appeared repeatedly throughout the interviews. Many clients arrived at Two Marines Moving after difficult prior experiences.

Several described moving as one of the most stressful events they had experienced. Some had previously hired movers who never arrived. Others attempted to complete moves themselves. Others relied on friends and family with disappointing results.

Many arrived carrying a common concern:

Could they trust the people handling their move?

That question sits at the center of nearly every moving experience.

Why Clients Chose Two Marines Moving

Several clients explained that they came to Two Marines Moving through recommendations from friends, relatives, and previous clients. Others spoke about the professionalism they experienced before move day even arrived.

  • Phone calls were returned
  • Questions were answered
  • Schedules were confirmed
  • Expectations were clearly communicated

For many clients, that professionalism created confidence long before the moving professionals arrived.

The move did not begin when the crew showed up. It began with the first interaction.

Move Day: Professional, Prompt, and Organized

As clients described move day, several themes emerged repeatedly: promptness, courtesy, preparation, and organization.

Many clients mentioned that moving professionals communicated before arrival and explained the process before beginning work. Several used language that reflected structure and coordination.

"Like a military operation."

Others commented on how quickly moving professionals established trust and confidence. The common observation was straightforward: the teams appeared prepared.

Respect for Property and Respect for Clients

Professional moving is not about transporting furniture. It is about earning trust.

Clients repeatedly discussed the care shown toward their belongings. Furniture was wrapped. Items were protected. Concerns were addressed. Questions were answered.

Several clients commented that they felt their move mattered to the moving professionals. That observation is significant.

Because to the client, the move is never just another job.

It is their home. Their possessions. Their memories.

The clients interviewed believed the crews understood that responsibility.

Efficiency Without Cutting Corners

Another consistent theme throughout the interviews was efficiency. Clients frequently described crews as focused, organized, and purposeful.

Not rushed. Not careless. Efficient.

Several clients specifically mentioned that the teams remained engaged throughout the move and maintained a professional pace from beginning to end. That combination of efficiency and care stood out to many interview participants.

Honest Estimates and Professional Execution

A number of clients discussed pricing and estimates. Several reported that their final cost came in below the estimate originally provided.

For clients accustomed to surprises in the moving industry, this left a strong impression.

The interviews suggest that transparency and accurate expectations contributed significantly to client satisfaction. Professional execution mattered. Accurate communication mattered as well.

Would They Recommend Two Marines Moving?

The answer was remarkably consistent.

Again and again, clients stated they would recommend Two Marines Moving to friends, family members, and coworkers. Some indicated they would never attempt another do-it-yourself move. Others compared the experience favorably to previous moves completed across decades.

One military family summarized the experience by stating that although moving is rarely enjoyable, the experience was significantly better than many moves they had experienced during military service — including PCS moves.

That observation remains one of the most memorable from the entire interview series.

The comments above come directly from a professionally produced client interview video created in 2011. The individuals featured in the video were actual Two Marines Moving clients sharing their experiences in their own words.

While the video reflects a different era in the company's history, the themes discussed by those clients remain remarkably familiar today. Readers interested in the full story of the company can visit the About page.

Why We Preserve This Record

Historical records matter. So do client voices.

This video captures something that awards, articles, and recognition programs cannot. It captures client experiences.

Not what a publication thought. Not what an organization observed. Not what a founder claimed.

What clients actually said.

That perspective deserves to be preserved.
